Lewis Yzori

One Body, One Canvas

New to Black Ivy · PromotedBased Lisbon.

Inspector's report · 2026

He does not do a geometric sleeve. He does a geometric body.

What sets Lewis Yzori apart is scale and the refusal to compromise it. Each body is symmetrical across the midline, with distortion and movement engineered so the pattern bends with the limb rather than fighting it. One bodysuit took 200 hours over 30 appointments and 18 months. The palette is black, full stop.

Patterns are generated on computer because the complexity he wants exceeds what a hand can plot, and they are placed only after he has seen the body in person. He works alone in Lisbon, one client per day. Every project starts with a conversation, he asks for complete creative freedom, and the only condition is trust.

The inspectors assessed line integrity across very large surfaces, where any wobble multiplies, and found a precision that few blackwork artists anywhere approach.

Inspector's note

The purest expression of geometric blackwork currently being made. Nobody treats the body as a single finished object with this much discipline.
