Signature Studio is SKINGRAPHICA®'s highest recognition at studio level. It honours the house around great work, the standard of client care, the culture among its artists and a reputation built over years, and it is held by very few.

Where our Global Artist Rankings, the Black Ivy Top 10 and the GRAPHICA Top 100 recognise individual artists, Signature Studio recognises the institution around them. A great studio is more than a room where great work happens. It is a standard of client care, a culture among its artists and a reputation earned over years. Those are the things the program honours.
Studios are assessed independently by SKINGRAPHICA® against six published criteria. Social following and popularity play no part, and status cannot be bought. Recognition carries no fee, no stocking requirement, no sales target and no commercial obligation of any kind.

Six criteria. Nothing else counts.
Every studio is assessed against the same published standard. Selection rests on the work and the house that produces it.

The calibre, originality and consistency of work produced by the studio's resident artists, across the styles in which the studio works.

Precision of execution across the studio's body of work, including linework, saturation, composition and consistency across skin types.

The respect the studio commands within the professional tattoo community, in its home city and beyond.

Client care and studio standards
The standard of consultation, hygiene and aftercare guidance, and the experience a client receives from first enquiry to finished piece.

Expression of interest
A studio registers interest below, or is identified independently by our inspectors. Registering does not influence the outcome.

Peer standing, client feedback and studio standards are considered, in the studio's home city and beyond.

The final meeting
An in-person meeting at the studio, or a video call, with the studio owner. Every certification ends here, and it cannot be delegated.

The numbered certificate is issued in the studio's name, and the studio joins the published Signature Studios list.

The Revenue Share Program
Your clients buy direct. Your studio earns on every kit.
Clients purchase any SYSTEM Kit, whether SYSTEM, SYSTEM PLUS or SYSTEM LUX, at skingraphica.com through your studio's unique link, typically when booking or preparing for a session. We handle fulfilment, shipping and Concierge support. A share of every attributed sale flows back to the studio, with no cap, no minimum and no expiry.
Enrolment is voluntary, takes a few minutes online, and asks nothing of the studio beyond its payment details. Nothing to stock, nothing to buy, no targets and no exclusivity. Studios that prefer to hold the recognition alone lose nothing by doing so.

Signature Studio status is not applied for, and registering interest does not influence the assessment. What it does is ensure your studio is considered as recognition opens in your market. Studios owned or operated by our globally ranked artists are automatically eligible, and register here in the same way. Every expression of interest is read by the founders.
Before you register. The final step of certification is a meeting with the studio owner, in person or by video call. Please register only if the owner is able to make time for it.
